Artist in Residence

Denise is an Australian sculptural and installation artist, photographer and author.

A passion for fine detail, intricate design and labour-intensive methods has seen her practice morph from ceramics and printmaking, to fine line drawing and decorative cut steel, her current obsession focus is giving new life to unexpected reclaimed and recycled materials.

Denise creates laterally, pushing the materials and herself outside any preconceived comfort zone. Rather than following a predetermined script, her work evolves, cross-pollinating numerous artistic skills and techniques.

An eclectic working history in design, marketing and tourism, event management, scuba diving, teaching and photography has provided endless creative inspiration and extensive photo catalogue.

As an Artist Denise engages with her local community, facilitating workshops, market stalls and exhibitions to share her skills, love and passion for all things creative, with others.
