2022 Artist in Residence – Ted Moran

Ted Moran is a professional sculptor who began his career with metal and glass on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. He now resides at the Sunshine Coast, exhibiting in several local galleries.

After completing his training as a fitter and turner at the age of 22, Ted was encouraged by a work colleague to explore creative work in the metal mediums. His career in this art form includes sculptures in stained glass panels and combinations of metal stone and glass blocks.

Ted is a prolific and successful artist and has been commissioned to do many major pieces including:
• Manyung Gallery
• Peninsula Grammar Chapel
• St Vincent’s Private Hospital
• St Marks Uniting Church Mornington
• Village Theatres, Sydney and Melbourne
• Knights of Malta
• Frankston (Monash)Teachers College
• Australian Administration Staff College, Mt. Eliza
• Scotch College, Melbourne

Ted has been a long-term supporter of the Immanuel Arts Festival and his work is well known amongst the Sunshine Coast arts community.
