Alicia Sharples

Alicia is the Co-ordinator of the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre. The Arts Centre curates and installs exhibitions every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain a continuous program of events/exhibitions/workshops at the Centre.

In 2012 as Art Show Project Manager Alicia curated of The Art of Living Annual Festival in Bundeena NSW.

Her passion for Art saw her take on the role of President and Co-Curator for Annual School Art Show Art in the Park, Bundeena NSW from 2008 to 2012.

Currently she is in Collaboration with Peripheral Arts for International Women’s Week. This Sketch animation of a 15 minute story written by a collaboration of women will be exhibited at the old Ambo Nambour 1 to 31 March 2019.

Alicia has had commissions for her sketch animations.
2018     ‘Creating connections through Story’ for the Peripheral Arts Storytelling 
               workshop in Brisbane.
2017     Little Silk Wings event Let me See my Baby and The Shared Yandina.
              These are now touring nationally presenting these stories to help women
               face loss.

Alicia identifies her art journey as A Lifetime of sketching, painting and recording stories of my life through a visual essence of journaling, animating and sketching.
