Judge – Photography – Samantha Jensen

Samantha Jensen holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Visual Culture from Curtin University. As the Exhibitions and Collections Officer for the Sunshine Coast Council Galleries she is exposed to a vast array of visual arts, working with leading local and national artists. Samantha has worked in the arts scene since 2014, and with the Galleries since 2015. Her work involves working on major exhibitions, both of national and international significance, including Passing Through: Project Another Country with Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan, Kyoto Hanga International Print Exhibition: Japan and Australia and Johanna DeMaine: the form : the function : the aesthetic.

Samantha delivers over 30 exhibitions per year and curates the Gallery’s partnership exhibition program for local artists, the Maroochydore Artspace. Artspace provides a space for local artists to exhibit their works and has been successfully running for over two years now. Samantha has a breadth of experience and knowledge in many different art forms and a wide understanding of Gallery logistics and curating exhibitions.
